YOGA: Flow, Stretch and Restore Give us your stressed, unfocussed, inflexible and tired and we will give a new outlook!
New Yoga Class 7:00AM to 8:00AM on Tuesdays and Fridays starting on Tuesday April 9th
Yoga means so many different things to different people. Laura and Debby have structured this new class at SEFC to be accessible and rewarding to as many people as possible: to be welcoming and manageable for people new to yoga, but interesting and engaging for those with yoga experience. Classes will encompass yoga’s breadth as a mind-body practice, including work on centering, mindfulness, and relaxation while building flexibility and strength. Pretty good for a one hour commitment once or twice a week! Our style is eclectic, some flow, and some held postures, a mix of standing, seated, twists, balances and restoratives poses.

Core fusion (new):
“Get to the core of the matter with core fusion! A terrific, functional workout, with an extreme emphasis on abdominals and other movements recruiting the entire core. It combines many movement modalities including: body bar stability ball, medicine ball, pilates and yoga. The best of the best.
Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is a unique combination of floor based stretching and strengthening exercises. It combines elemants of yoga, calisthenics and stretches. Flowing movements help improve posture, increase freedom of movement, and reduce physical tension. Pilates is great for any fitness level. Its benefits are: flexibility, core muscle strength, balance, body awareness, reduced lower back and neck distress, improved posture, and improved breathing.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is the most popular system of yoga, from which several other forms of yoga originated including Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. Hatha Yoga attempts to achieve a balance between body and mind. It does so by emphasizing the physical poses (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama). Benefits derived from yoga include: flexibility, core strength, improved concentration and increased will power, stress reduction, and tension relief. The secret to controlling one's mind can be unlocked by controlling one's breath. The practice of yoga can energize the self.
Burn and Firm
Burn and Firm is a fun, fat-burning, high energy aerobic workout that includes running, jumping, and plyometrics, followed by comprehensive, intense muscle conditioning. The muscle conditioning challenges all major muscle groups in order to raise the body's metabolic rate and tone the body. The workout is completed with complementary stretching to enhance the strength training effect and relax muscles.
Body Sculpt Circuit
Body Sculpt Circuit is a total body workout utilizing light weights and variable impact aerobics to sculpt and tone. It's a great high-intensity class with the best of fat incinerating aerobics, muscle conditioning, and abdominal work segments interspersed with fundamental yoga to increase flexibility and energy.
Cardio Fit Circuit
Get moving and motivated with this heart-pumping, high energy group fitness class called Cardio Fit Circuit. It combines a challenging muscle conditioning resistance workout emphasizing intense leg and glut work, upper body sculpt, and abdominal work, with a combination of interval training on the cardio machines, altering speed and incline for maximum intensity. Our most challenging class.
Abs Blast
Abs Blast is a 30 minute abdominal class where most newcomers witness improvement in abdominal tone within weeks. Learn to condition the abdominal muscles more effectively by directly targeting them and by working the abs from a variety of angles. Remember core strength is the key to functional strength and a healthy back.
Power Yoga (flow version)
Power Yoga (flow version) lets you tune in, chill out and shape up, all at the same time. Flow yoga is a blend of functional strength and functional flexibility practiced with the rhythm of the breath to bring about a greater awareness of muscle imbalances in the body. It affects total body fitness by improving muscle flexibility, strength and endurance. It helps to create a balance between energy and calm, reducing stress and tension. It can also positively affect concentration, creativity and the immune system.
